Blackfalds Real Estate Team Shares Dining Tips

Admittedly we’ve used an inordinate amount of space here on our Krest Homes blog describing in great detail the beauty of the surrounding community. For us, it’s hard not to. In addition, both local residents and out of town households prospecting our offering of new homes for sale in Blackfalds have expressed appreciation for highlighting the region and all that its natural environment offers.

However, there is of course so much more to factor in before one can even consider moving to Blackfalds. For instance, where can one get a great cup of espresso? We don’t know about you, but next to favorable interest rates and proximity to a solid school catchment being able to hunt down a decent cup of java is essential to a peaceful existence in any community. Then there’s other dining options to consider – pizza, pasta, wings, cheesesteaks, and more. Now some of the loyal readers of our Blackfalds real estate blog may ask “Didn’t you guys just post a recent article stating that buying a home in Blackfalds makes you healthy??”. You’re right, we did. But we live that healthy lifestyle so that once in a while (more for some of our team) we all can enjoy the finer tasting things in life with our friends and family. Thus, Krest Homes thought we’d provide a few quick dining recommendations for those of you considering a move to Blackfalds – what better way to tip the scales of that big decision than to provide a few recommendations for scrumptious scale tipping cafes/eateries?

Blackfalds Cafes/Eateries Worth Checking Out:

After the Grind (4911 Broadway Avenue, Blackfalds AB) – One of the most unique coffee shops we’ve ever seen. After the Grind is a community centered, globally minded non-profit cafe staffed by volunteers. The coffee, treats, and service are amazing and proceeds go to a good cause. Get caffeinated and feel good about it!
Resolve Bar & Grill (5009 Parkwood Rd, Blackfalds, AB) – With menu specials like BBQ Beef Philly, Beer Cheese Soup, and Wednesday Night Wings the tone is set for lip smacking goodness that will certainly test your diet’s resolve.
Piccolo Pizza & Pasta (5010 Broadway Avenue, Blackfalds, AB) – The two carb-loaded P’s are well covered by popular Piccolo Pizza & Pasta which is fronted by a spacious lawn where Broadway avenue and the East Railway splits through town. Piccolo Pizza & Pasta is a Blackfalds gathering place that serves up filling Italian cuisine and good times together.

Griffins Hideout (5007 Indiana Street, Blackfalds, AB) – Formally known as Ikaros, Griffins Hideout recently introduced a new menu and can be considered a comfort food joint with a flare for international fusion. The verdict thus far for this new menu “renovation” has locals singing the praises of their burgers. They’re right!
We know this wasn’t exactly a Yelp like accounting of Blackfalds area eateries as there are indeed a multitude of cafes and dining options within a quick drive to the bookending cities of Lacombe and Red Deer but as Blackfalds real estate representatives we wanted to stick to the “walking distance” spots located in the heart of our community. New businesses are joining Blackfalds throughout the many months ahead so you can expect this list to grow in the very near future. Until then, bon appetit!
